Baseball exhibition Pure + Applied NYCIn June 2018, the Library of Congress will mount the Baseball Americana exhibition in the South Gallery of the Library’s Thomas Jefferson Building. The exhibition will coincide with the 2018 All-Star Game in Washington DC, and will highlight the Library’s extensive baseball collections, showing baseball’s gritty roots and its contemporary character through original artifacts and interactive media. They are now seeking a contractor to prepare the exhibit space, fabricate, deliver, and install exhibit structures, cases, walls, and related elements, for a large scale exhibition.

Baseball Americana - Thematic Fabrication

The Contractor shall provide services to prepare the exhibit space, fabricate, deliver, and install exhibit structures, cases, walls, and related elements, for a large scale exhibition. The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor needed to properly prepare and paint museum display components; fabricate, deliver, and install museum quality exhibit walls, display furniture, and artifact mounts. Time is of the essence for this project as the exhibition must coincide with events outside the Library's control.

Elements will include:

Demolition
Stadium structure with projection screen, graphics, lighting, 19 feet at its highest and widest dimension
Retrofit existing exhibit case
New intro wall and wall case
New spinner interactive wall
New wall partition for education materials, brochure rack
New free standing banner sign
New benches
Free standing spinner
Flooring and scenic wall treatment
Graphics
Exhibit lighting
