The Battle of Yorktown was the last major battle of the American War of Independence in October, 1781. General George Washington, with allied American and French forces, defeated the British army under the command of General Charles Lord Cornwallis. The site is now in the care of the National Park Service, and they have been seeking a company to produce an interpretive film including re-enactments. The successful vendor is Aperture Films, Ltd of Irvine, California. The total contract value is $278,950. (£208,716.)
