Nina Simone's Childhood Home is a 560-square-foot, three-room clapboard house located in Tryon, North Carolina. Born as Eunice Kathleen Waymon in 1933, Nina Simone spent her early years in this humble wooden home where she began her musical journey. The house holds significant historical importance as it was here that Simone taught herself to play the piano at the age of three and started developing her prodigious musical talents. The National Trust for Historic Preservation seeks Strategic Planning Services for the development of a stewardship plan for the site. The estimated contract value is unspecified.
