Natchez National Historical Park in Mississippi, managed by the National Park Service, comprises four sites. It features Fort Rosalie, an 18th-century fort; the William Johnson House, home of an African American barber; Melrose (pictured), the estate of John T. McMurran; and Forks of the Road, a former slave trading market. Exhibits showcase historical furnishings and artifacts from Natchez. The National Park Service is seeking proposals from contractors for an Ethnographic Overview and Assessment at Natchez National Historical Park.

The National Park Service, West Contracting Office requires an Ethnographic Overview and Assessment (EOA) study of Natchez National Historical Park.

This EOA is an initial comprehensive background study of traditionally associated peoples and the ethnographic resources important to them within the boundaries of a NPS unit.

This type of study reviews and summarizes existing information and identifies new data needs.

Information is derived from existing archival and published materials and is supplemented with ethnographic interviewing and methodology.
