Housed in an award-winning building in the heart of Glasgow’s Pollok Country Park, the Burrell Collection is one of the greatest art collections ever amassed by one person and consists of more than 8,000 objects. The museum is now closed while a substantial renovation project takes place. Glasgow City Council has been seeking a contractor for the provision of a bespoke display pieces. The successful contractors are: (lot 1: South East Corner Gallery and Bridgewater Ceiling), Elmwood Projects Ltd of Glasgow for £233,931 and (lot 2: Access Core Stained Glass), Beck Interiors Ltd of Chessington, for £175,251.
