The Library of Congress is the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in the world, with over 158 million books, recordings, photographs, maps, films and video, sheet music, sound recordings, and manuscripts in its collections. The Library was seeking contractors to implement the National Recording Plan recommendations, as well as implement and update sections of the National Film Preservation Plan recommendations in order to satisfy U.S. Congress mandates under Public Law 114-217. The successful contractor is the Council on Library and Information Resources. The estimated contract value is $133,406.
