One of my favourite annual conferences is the International Museum Construction Congress (IMCC). This annual gathering brings together museum professionals and the suppliers they work with to look at museum construction projects planned and recently completed.  London was meant to be the venue for this year's conference, and although we can't be together physically, the virtual conference will take place for a few hours on consecutive Wednesdays, starting next week.   I'll be speaking at the opening session on 4 November, and that day's content will be free to all. My talk, "Getting the Big Picture: A Global Project Update in a Time of Cultural Change" will look at how Covid and social justice movements are affecting museum projects across the globe.

Also on the agenda will be talks on museums and the climate emergency, design and delivery of projects during Covid, social justice movements in museums, leadership, and how the V&A is reaching out to new audiences. New museum projects in France, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Shanghai will help broaden our horizons as we look at our sector across the globe. We've also scheduled two (virtual) networking breaks, where delegates can meet and chat. Further sessions will be on 11 November and 18 November.  I hope you will join us for the conference!
