The Library of Congress is the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in the world, with over 158 million books, recordings, photographs, maps, films and video, sheet music, sound recordings, and manuscripts in its collections. The Library of Congress was seeking to purchase three types of High Speed Scanners for their collections; a book scanner, a rare book scanner and a document scanner. The successful contractor for both awards is Indus International Inc. of West Salem, Wisconsin. The estimated contract value is $108,457 and $131,250 respectively.
