The Library of Congress is the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in the world, with over 158 million books, recordings, photographs, maps, films and video, sheet music, sound recordings, and manuscripts in its collections. The Library was seeking a design firm with extensive experience to undertake the design of their “Welcome Area and Orientation Gallery”. This will also include all audio visuals, interactives and lighting. The successful contractor is Studio Joseph of New York City. The estimated contract value $3,278,321.
