Development Department at Tate Looking for New Recruit

The Tate Development department was founded in 1990 to raise funds from the private sector for revenue and capital projects at Tate.   The department comprises six sections; Corporate
Development, Major Gifts, Operations, Individual Giving, Public Sector Fundraising and Events.  It has expanded over the years to meet growing gallery needs and is now one of the most successful arts fundraising teams in the UK. The majority of personnel are based in London.

Tate’s vision for 2012 and beyond is predicated on a significant increase in private sector
fundraising. Identified need over the next 6 years is around £250m, which represents a very
significant increase for Tate from current income levels of around £10m per annum. In order to
achieve this ambition Tate is committed to building the strongest fundraising team in the UK, with a
focus on major donor activity from all sectors.

This post would be in the Individual Giving Team, which has responsibility for generating income from a wide donor pool, including legacies.  The team runs successful fundraising initiatives for high level donors and the Tate are currently planning a range of exciting revenue, capital and acquisition campaigns.  The successful candidate would work with the Head of Patrons and the Patron's Manager to grow the Patrons scheme to ensure that the income potential is achieved.
