The Library of Congress is the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in the world, with over 158 million books, recordings, photographs, maps, films and video, sheet music, sound recordings, and manuscripts in its collections. The Library of Congress has been seeking Inspection Contractors to provide services to assist the inventory management projects to inspect and review the collection and record data contained within the Library of Congress Integrated Library System (LC ILS) or other databases. The successful contractor is LIBRARY ASSOCIATES OF MARYLAND, LLC, and the total contract value is $4,500,000 (approx. £3,187,767).
